This piece is waxed with a cold medium wax used to seal watercolors when it is desired to NOT use glass when framing. It is still recommended to avoid overly moist environments as well as to not hang in a spot that gets a lot of direct sunlight.
Funny story, a friend commissioned me just before Christmas to do a painting for his sister. I get done with this piece and send him a quick picture of it via text. He texts back, “You’re gonna kill me… I meant to say Jellyfish”
