How to Play:
Stack the food chain | Race to 20.
Every game starts with a habitat. From there, you build food chains by stacking creatures up the trophic levels—primary consumers feed secondary predators, who feed tertiary predators, all the way up to apex. Complete a full chain without skipping levels and your apex card gets a +1 bonus.
1) Play your habitat
Your habitat card goes down first. It determines which creatures you can play and provides base food for herbivores.
2) Feed the Chain
Primary consumers eat from the habitat (no points). Sacrifice them to play secondary predators, then tertiary, then apex. Each predator stacks on top of its prey.
3) Score Immediately
Points hit the moment you play a scoring card. First player to 20 wins. Complete stacks (no skipped levels) give your apex card +1.
4) Disrupt Everything
Mandrills FLING (yes, feces). Octopuses INK to block or disable. Jellyfish STUN. And anyone can POACH — playing cards onto an opponent's stack.
Turn Structure
1) Play Starting Habitat Card
2) Play Primary Consumer (only 1 per turn, every turn)
3) Use Primary Consumer ‘s Food Value as currency to play other cards
4) Play any special functions you happen to have
4) Score points immediately on qualifying plays
5) Refill hand to 7 at end of turn
