I began adopting acrylic as a medium to utilize in order to achieve some of the images I was trying to depict. Many of my acrylic pieces also have linework that I do with acrylic paint pens. Just as with the India Ink in my watercolor pieces, the linework in these may also have as much time invested in them as I did in the painting before the linework.

Isaac

In the tranquil waters of the ocean, where the sunlight dances and the waves sing their soothing melody, there lived a young seahorse named Isaac. Isaac was a gentle soul with a light brownish-grey hue, blending seamlessly with the sandy seabed where he spent his days exploring. But Isaac's childhood was marked by solitude, for he had no companions to share his adventures with.

From the moment he hatched from his tiny egg, Isaac found himself alone in the vast expanse of the ocean. His parents, wise seahorses who had taught him all they could before they disappeared into the depths, had always told him that friendship was a treasure worth seeking. But without anyone to guide him or play with him, Isaac felt lost and alone.

Despite his loneliness, Isaac refused to let despair weigh him down. Instead, he threw himself into the wonders of the ocean, determined to find his place in the world. He spent his days exploring the coral reefs, chasing after colorful fish, and marveling at the beauty of the underwater world around him.

As Isaac grew, so did his longing for companionship. He watched as other sea creatures swam happily in pairs, their laughter echoing through the water. And though he longed to join them, Isaac was unsure of how to make friends on his own.

But then, one day, as Isaac was gliding through the swaying kelp forest, he stumbled upon a school of playful dolphins. Mesmerized by their grace and agility, Isaac approached them tentatively, his heart pounding with excitement.

"Hello there," he said, his voice trembling with nervousness. "My name is Isaac. Would you like to play with me?"

The dolphins, curious about this small, solitary seahorse, welcomed him with open fins. They showed him how to leap through the waves and spin in the currents, teaching him the joy of companionship and the power of friendship.

With the dolphins by his side, Isaac's world expanded in ways he never thought possible. Together, they explored the ocean depths, raced through the coral reefs, and danced beneath the moonlight. And as Isaac laughed and played with his newfound friends, he realized that he was never truly alone—as long as he had the love and companionship of those who cared for him.

From that day on, Isaac embraced life with an open heart, knowing that friendship was the greatest treasure of all. And though he may have started his journey alone, he had found a family in the ocean's embrace, a family that would always be there to guide him, support him, and love him unconditionally.
