12x16” Watercolor and India Ink on paper.

Creepy George was the second character in what I’m calling “Creepy Frank and Friends”.
My paintings start with a pencil sketch followed by layers of watercolor until the saturation and tones are where I want them… and then comes the India Ink. Sometimes I can spend as many hours at this stage as I did in the painting itself.
I had a bit of an off topic moment where I really wanted to paint this creepy looking angler fish I had in my head. Once I did this and took to social media with the finished piece, a dialog and story started to tell itself in the comments… things like “Creepy Frank was lonely… “ and “Creepy Frank doesn’t like it when you call him creepy”.. So Creepy George is part of series that I urge you to check out.
