My paintings start with a pencil sketch followed by layers of watercolor until the saturation and tones are where I want them… and then comes the India Ink. Sometimes I can spend as many hours at this stage as I did in the painting itself.
Basking in the Light
The Blue-Ringed Octopus is found on/near the Australia coastal tidepools. They are between 5-8 inches big. Their rings become brighter and more pronounced when they are agitated.
If bitten, the venom is deadly. Deadly enough in fact to kill 26 adult humans. You’ll barely feel the bite, and the venom will paralyze your diaphragm and you will stop breathing and suffocate.
